• Crotons thrive in bright, direct sunlight to maintain their vibrant, colorful leaves. Lack of light can cause the plant’s colors to fade and lead to leggy growth.
• If grown indoors, place it near a south or west-facing window for optimal light. If it doesn't get enough light, it may become more green and lose its vivid variegation.
• Keep the soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the pot has drainage holes to allow excess water to escape.
• Crotons also prefer consistent moisture levels, so don't let the soil dry out completely, especially during the growing season.
• Crotons prefer warm temperatures between 65°F to 85°F (18°C to 29°C) and should be kept away from cold drafts, air conditioners, or heaters.
• They also enjoy moderate to high humidity. If you live in a dry area, you can increase humidity by using a humidifier or placing the plant on a humidity tray.
